Lillian M. Tinholt, age 95 of Holland, passed away on Thursday, March 14, 2024.

Lillian was preceded in death by her husband, Harvey, in 1998. She is survived by her children, Tom (Paula) Tinholt, Sue (Steve) Baker, and Jack (Mary) Tinholt; 4 grandchildren, Sarah (Andrew) Rugg, Steve Tinholt, Katrina Baker, and Jake (Karla Torres) Baker; 4 great-grandchildren, Norah and Ellie Rugg, Samara and Marcelo Baker; sister, Patricia (Rich) Levy; sister-in-law, Irene Tinholt, brother-in-law Lloyd (Norma) Tinholt; many nieces, nephews, and cousins.

Lillian (Buursma) grew up in Waukazoo Woods on Lake Macatawa with her earliest years spent at Marigold Lodge and continued to live on Lake Macatawa until retiring to Arizona. She attended Holland Christian Schools and Calvin College. She raised three children in Holland and served as Park Township Treasurer. Lillian and Harvey were members of Hardewyk Church for many years before retiring to Sun Lakes, Arizona where she lived for 20 years. In 2005, Lillian returned to West Michigan. She loved to laugh, travel the world, and spend time with friends and family. Lillian deeply missed, for the past 26 years, her husband Harvey. She spoke often of their many wonderful years together. But over the past 12 years she so enjoyed being able to spend time with her “greats” as she referred to them. Norah, Ellie, Samara, and Marcelo brought so much joy to her. She loved her family well and will be greatly missed.

A private graveside service will be held at Graafschap Cemetary.

Memorial contributions may be made to Holland Christian Schools.

Arrangements are by Dykstra Funeral Home-Mulder Chapel.
