On Sunday, December 18, 2022, Leonard Sowers Jr. of Holland, Michigan passed away at the age of 73.
Born to Lucille and Leonard Sowers Sr. in Winchester, Virginia in 1949, Len spent his youth in Holland where he enjoyed being on the varsity debate team. A former newsroom employee of the Holland Evening Sentinel, he graduated from Western Michigan University with a B.A. and an M.A. in Communications. Len was passionate about writing and science, with a sense of humor and an appreciation for the absurd that will be missed.
He is survived by his brother Jeffrey Sowers of Lansing, and his children Aaron Sowers and Lindsay Gibson of Caledonia. Cremation has taken place and no services are planned at this time. Arrangements are by Dykstra Funeral Homes-Downtown Chapel.
