Leonard (Len) Quanstrom, age 94, passed into glory on Sunday, May 6, 2018. He leaves behind his loving wife of 70 years, Jeanne, as well as his children, grandchildren and great-children. Affectionately known as “Quan,” Len loved his family, his Lord, and nature. He was a proud member of the American Tree Farm Association and planted a tree farm in Bruce, Wisconsin with over 14,000 pine trees. An avid and accomplished fisherman, he conquered the Mighty Muskie in the northern Wisconsin waters. He loved being outdoors and sharing his knowledge with his children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Len served in World War II in the Naval Air Corps and then worked for Illinois Bell as a lineman and Installation Supervisor until his retirement. He was a voracious reader and loved crossword puzzles, as well.

In addition to his wife, Len is survived by children, Nancy (Brian) Cook of Holland, Janis (Larry) Nielsen of Griffin, GA and Douglas (Lillian) Quanstrom of Montgomery, IL, grandchildren Megan (Sean) Reilly, Daniel and Beth Nielsen, Matthew, Jacob and Holly Quanstrom, and great-grandchildren, Emma and Kaiden Reilly and Carter Brown. Granddaughter, Jamie Cook preceded him in death.

Memorial services will be 11 am Saturday, June 9 in the Chapel at Christ Memorial Church, 595 Graafschap Road, with the Rev. Bill Boersma officiating. Visitation will be 10-10:45 am, prior to the service, at the church. Memorial contributions may be made to Hospice of Holland.

Arrangements are by the Dykstra Funeral Home-Mulder Chapel.
