Lazaro Esequiel Almanza, at the age of 15 years old, started his new journey alongside God on Monday, November 6, 2017 at Helen DeVoss Children’s Hospital in Grand Rapids.

He was a special needs child, born on December 15, 2001 in Holland, MI. His story began even before birth. From the start things were a little different, but for the better. Little did his family know, they were soon to receive a true miracle and a blessing.

Born with Lissen-cephaly, he struggled the moment he came into this world. Things seemed grim at first, but through the works of God, he happily went home to his family 26 days later.

His parents, Eleazar & Edith, and his 3 siblings: Jovanska, Eleazar Jr., & Jessenia, all welcomed him with a warm embrace. As a family, they soon learned Lazaro’s quirks and care regimen. In his own way, he helped every individual in the family grow and prosper in the teachings of humility, & loving without limit.

Although he could not move much on his own, he traveled and experienced so many wonderful places. From petting exotic animals, to indoor skydiving, Lazaro lived an adventurous and full life with his family.

He carried out an infectious smile everywhere he went, and he left an impact to all who had the opportunity to meet him. That smile will forever stay in the hearts of many.

Rather than a funeral, his Celebration of Life is schedule for Sunday, November 26th, 2017, at Calvary CRC, 400 Beeline Rd. Holland, MI, from 2pm-8pm(est)
