Lawrence Simmons, 94 of Holland, died Friday September 7 2018 at Medilodge, surrounded by his family. He served in the Navy during WWII. He was a truck driver until retirement, and then was a bus driver for Holland Public Schools. He loved to golf, and was an avid Chicago Cubs fan.
He was preceded in death by his wife of 69 years, Caroline.
Lawrence is survived by his children, Myra (Calvin) Bruursema, Carol (Harvey) Goossen, Don (Julie) Simmons, Randy (Diana) Simmons, Sue Simmons & Terry Simmons. He has eight grandchildren, fifteen great-grandchildren, & three great-great grandchildren.
The family will be having a private service, and would like to thank Appledorn, Medilodge, and Hospice for the wonderful care our dad received.
