Laura Jean Gann, 44, of Holland, Michigan, passed away on June 11, 2022, in Holland Hospital.

Laura was born in Grand Rapids, Michigan to Johannes and Beverly Kooistra on November 26, 1977. She went on to earn degrees in Criminal Justice (The Police Academy), Health Care, and Health Care Administration from Grand Rapids Community College and Davenport University. The bulk of her career was Spectrum Health Butterworth where she worked as a Unit Secretary for 11 years. She enjoyed going to concerts, singing, playing piano, taking walks, spending time with her niece and nephews, and helping others. Helping others was a passion of hers she gave of herself even when she herself needed helping. Her family and friends were the most important parts of her life and the amount of people she touched in some way is truly amazing, she will be dearly missed.

Laura is survived by her Husband, Christopher of Holland, Michigan; Parents, Johannes and Beverly Kooistra of Kentwood, Michigan; Brother, James and Jennifer Kooistra of Wayland, Michigan; Sister, Tammy and Rick VanBeek of Kentwood, Michigan; Brother John and Heather Kooistra of Holland, Michigan; Niece, Maddy and Nephews, Nicholas, Nathan, Sam, Donald, Micah, and Kenton.

Funeral service will be held at Dykstra Funeral Home - Mulder Chapel, 188 32nd St, Holland, MI 49423 on June 23 at 1pm with Rev. Joshua Zoerhof officiating. Burial will be followed at Pilgrim Home Cemetery, 370 E 16th St, Holland, MI 49423. Visitation will be held at Dykstra Funeral Home - Mulder Chapel on June 22 at 6 to 8pm.
