Khoune Keopatthavong, age 78, passed away August 11, 2015.
Sadly, Khoune was preceded in death by his sons, Khongchiam and Thongkham Keopatthavong.
Khoune is survived by his wife of 52 years, Khamphou; children, Phouvanh (Khambay) Xayavong, Kathy (Joe) Prout, Boun Keopatthavong, Bobby Keopatthavong, and Judy (Patrick) Kettring.
Khoune proudly served as a Captain in the Laotian Army, serving his country before, during, and after the Vietnam War. Khoune moved to America in 1979 and became a member of the First Reformed Church in Holland. In his spare time, he enjoyed going out to eat and watching Wheel of Fortune and WWE. Khoune loved his family and always enjoyed spending as much time with them as possible.
A visitation will take place Friday, August 14 from 12:00 pm to 2:00 pm and 6:00 pm to 8:00 pm at Dykstra Funeral Home – Northwood Chapel; 295 Douglas Ave. A funeral service will take place Saturday, August 15 at 1:00 pm at Dykstra Funeral Home – Northwood Chapel.
