Life Story / Obituary
Justin Michael Taube, age 41, passed away after a long battle with illness that ultimately took its toll. Though his life was far too short, Justin lived with heart, humor, and a deep love for the people closest to him.
Justin was born in Illinois and raised in Holland, Michigan, the place he always called home. Growing up in Holland shaped who he was, and he carried that sense of home with him throughout his life. He especially loved spending time at the Lake Michigan beaches, enjoying the beauty of the water and the peacefulness of nature.
Above all else, Justin was a loving father to his two children, Jade Taube (14) and Declan Taube (9). He cared deeply for them and took great pride in being a provider for his family, a role that meant everything to him.
Justin was known for his strong work ethic and genuine enjoyment of working. He spent 13 years at Meijer, where he worked as a Team Lead and took pride in his responsibilities. Most recently, he worked at Magna Glass, a job he truly enjoyed. He often spoke proudly about helping install the windows for Ford trucks, a project that gave him a strong sense of accomplishment.
An avid football fan, Justin was a lifelong supporter of the Chicago Bears, while also enjoying the Detroit Lions, especially when it came to friendly competition with family and friends. Game days were filled with spirited banter, laughter, and connection—something Justin loved.
Justin had a gift for conversation and connection. He especially cherished the time spent talking and sharing with his mother, and those conversations meant a great deal to him. He will be remembered for his sense of humor, positive attitude, and the warmth he brought into every room.
Justin is survived by his children, Jade and Declan; his parents, Barbara (Jared) Spitsberg of Eau Claire, Wisconsin, and William Taube of Delaware; his brother, Jesse Taube of Holland, Michigan; his sister, Shana Taube of Ocala, Florida; his girlfriend, Patricia Garcia, who was an important part of his life; as well as several aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, and cousins who loved him dearly.
Justin will be deeply missed by many. His laughter, kindness, love for family, and unwavering desire to provide for those he cared about will remain forever in the hearts of those who knew him.
