Julia A. Komarek was known to family and friends as Busia (grandma in Polish). She was a good listener and made the time to be there for family and friends, never asking for anything in return. She was a support to those close to her and a shoulder to lean on. She was a ray of sunshine for those close enough to receive the gift of her warmth.

Julia lived in Holland all of her life. It is the place where she created a lifetime full of memories with her family and friends. Julia received her education in the Holland Public Schools. She worked at Holland Furnace in the administrative office. She worked at Meijers in Holland for over thirty years, from where she retired. She attended St. Francis de Sales Catholic Church of Holland.

Julia and her beloved husband, Frank Komarek, were the proud parents of three children: Judy, Mary and Jack and the proud grandparents of 7 grandchildren and 5 great grandchildren. A huge part of their hearts was taking care of their beloved dog Buffy. They loved spending time with the smiles and laughter of their loved ones. After their retirement, Julia and Frank enjoyed their winters in Florida; playing bingo, watching Tigers games, and playing shuffleboard At home they enjoyed spending time with there family and watching their grandchildren’s activities. Julia enjoyed knitting, crocheting, watching her soaps, reading gossip magazines and helping with her daughter’s daycare.

Julia was an amazing lady and will be dearly missed by her family and friends.
