Joseph Hutta, age 73, passed away on Monday, Jan 9, 2023, after a battle with cancer. Joe was born September 7, 1949, in Muskegon, MI. He graduated from Holland High School. Joe was married to Jane (Slagh) Hutta for 52 years. He retired from the City of Holland Parks and Cemeteries Department after over 30 years of service.

Joe enjoyed fishing, camping, hotrods, and Harleys.

He was preceded in death by his son, Joseph Hutta III, parents, Joseph and Jean Hutta, mother and father-in-law, Jonathan (Bud) and Mae Slagh and sister, Virginia (Bill) Kooyers.

Family members who will miss him greatly are his wife Jane, grandson, Jordon Hutta, granddaughter, Alysha Hutta and their mother, Kris Hutta; brothers and sisters: Will (Margret) Hutta, Bev (Jerry) Molengraaf, John Hutta, Mike (Kerry) Hutta, Dave (Sally) Hutta, Mary Redder, Rose (Mark) Bishop; sister-in-law, Mary (Larry) Timmer as well as many nieces, nephews and friends.

A funeral service will be 12:00 pm, Thursday, January 12, 2023 at Dykstra Funeral Homes-Mulder Chapel, 188 West 32nd Street in Holland. Reverend Jesse Cabrera will be officiating. Burial will be in Graafschap Cemetery.

Visitation will be from 11 am - 11:45 am prior to the service at the chapel. In lieu of flowers please send memorial contributions to Faith Hospice or St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital.
