John Richard Arnold, age 61, of Holland, died Saturday, October 15, 2005 at his home. Mr. Arnold was born in Lansing, January 14, 1944. He was a pilot (Captain) for Northwest Airlines for over 25 years before retiring. After attending Ohio State University , he would graduate from Seattle University with a Bachelors Degree in Business. John served as a Reserve in the US Army and volunteered for the USO in San Diego . He was also a member of the Airline Pilots Association. Surviving are his wife Barbara Kleis-Depuydt, of Holland, Sisters and Brother, Kathryn Marcou, of Dayton, OH, Christine Arnold, of Columbus, and Robert and Peggy Arnold, of Middletown, OH; Step Children, Thomas Depuydt, Troy and Elizabeth Depuydt, Heather Depuydt-Strauss and Matt, and Kristina Depuydt; Step Grandchildren, Makenna Depuydt, Eden Depuydt, Koa Depuydt, Elliana Strauss, and Sophia Strauss; Nephews and Nieces, Michael Marcou, Stephen Marcou, Sarah McKee, Lucas Arnold, Benjamin Arnold, and Corrine Arnold. John is also survived by many dear friends. A celebration of life service will be held at the cottage. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the American Heart Association.
