Jimmy Plooster, age 69, of Holland, passed away Monday, February 13, 2017.
Jimmy graduated from West Ottawa High School in 1965. He retired from Padnos in 2009. Jimmy also owned, Jim’s Tree Service, for many years.
He served in the United States Navy during the Vietnam War as a deep sea diver.
Jimmy was preceded in death by his parents, Everett and Julia (Roelofs) Plooster.
He is survived by his wife, Sharon of 25 years; children, Dawn and Scott Bergsma, Kimberly Blue, and John Blue; 2 grandchildren, Sean and Janae Bergsma and Dustin Bearup; brother and sisters, Bob and Joanne Plooster, Bonnie and Dave Vandermeer, Nancy and Kraig Schaafsma, and Sally and Ed Bredeweg; sister-in-law, Shirley Perock; several nephews, nieces, and cousins.
Funeral and Military services will be 11 am Saturday (February 18), at the Dykstra Funeral Home-Northwood Chapel, 295 Douglas Avenue, with the Rev. Matt Yount officiating.
Burial will be in Restlawn Memorial Gardens.
Visitation will be one hour prior to the service on Saturday.
Memorial contributions may be made to the American Heart Association.
