Jim De Weerd

James H. De Weerd, age 56, of Holland, Michigan passed away Saturday, June 2, 2018. Born February 26, 1962 in Grand Rapids, MI, he was the adopted son of the late Alvin and Tena De Weerd. James loved spending time with his wife Becky and family, working at Herman Miller, caring for his dog, and volunteering at Bibles for Mexico. Along with his parents, James is preceded in death by his loving wife of 6 years, Becky De Weerd and his brother-in-law, Eric Vannette. James is survived by his sister and brother-in-law, Lanelle and Kirk Garvelink of Holland, MI; his nieces, Whitney Saylor and David Sparks, and Kara and Jason Burklow; his late wife’s daughter, Katie Vannette of Holland, MI; brother-in-law and sister-in-law, Brian and Amy DeRoo of Jenison, MI; brother-in-law and sister-in-law, Dave and Jean Vannette of Holland, MI; brother-in-law, Curt Vannette of Holland, MI; Father and Mother-in-law, David and Karen Vannette of Holland, MI; uncle and aunt, Jerry and Bea De Weerd, and several loving nieces, nephews and cousins. An immediate burial has taken place and services are planned at Harderwyk Ministries on June 7, 2018 at 11:00am followed by a time of fellowship.
