Jess E. Favela passed away on Thursday, June 1, 2023 in Holland, Michigan at 58 years old.

He was born on May 8, 1965 to proud parents Raymundo and Margarita Favela in Los Angeles, California. He was loved and esteemed by many, especially his siblings- Florinda and Ray.

Jess graduated from Valencia High School (Placentia, CA) in 1983. Jess attended California State University, Fullerton and received his degree as an Electric Engineer in 1989.

Shortly after, he moved to Rochester, Michigan to work for General Dynamics. Jess then moved to Milwaukee, Wisconsin in 1998 to work at his dream job as an electrical engineer with Harley Davidson. He spent fifteen years with Harley Davidson. In 2011, he relocated to Holland, Michigan where he worked for Johnson Controls, Spindance, and later Stryker.

Jess made many long- lasting friendships along the way. He was witty, generous, and enjoyed living life to the fullest. He had many interests and was very talented at everything he tried.

He enjoyed brewing beer, cooking, gardening, exploring the outdoors, traveling and attending concerts. Jess was an avid follower of The Grateful Dead, attending dozens of shows. Most importantly, he loved creating wonderful memories and spending time with great friends, family, and all his loved ones. He loved to give and to make people smile. He was a movie buff and an avid reader. He was an exemplary brother, a great friend, the best son, and the #1 uncle to Max and Ben.

Jess left his mark with everyone he met. He will be missed by all who knew him, but never forgotten. He made the world a better place. So, next time you are enjoying a tasty brew, or witness a beautiful sunset, or hear someone quoting their favorite movie- smile and think of Jess. “The Dude Will Abide” He will always be nearby and forever in our hearts. “Fare thee well Jess”...
