Jeanette, Jean, Wicks passed away Friday February 24, 2017 at the age of 91. Her final days were spent with her family. Jean and her husband, Carl, were longtime residents of Douglas, MI where they owned West Shore Golf Club for 25 years. Jean was a member of St. Peter’s Catholic Church for over 60 years. During her time with the church she was funeral lunch coordinator for many years.
Jean and her family were avid supporters of Michigan Special Olympics, Area 12. Over the years raising more than $100,000.00.
Jean was proceeded in death by her beloved husband of 61 years, Carl, 4 brothers and 3 sisters. She is survived by her three children, Paul, Carla, and Dan. Her Grandchildren, Jared Wilkerson (Kerrie), Kyle Wilkerson (Sharla), Megan Poulos (Mike), Gregory Wicks and her sister Dorothy Tolson (Harry) and many nieces and nephews.
A service will be held on Tuesday February 28, 2017 at 11:30 at St. Peter’s Catholic Church Douglas, MI. Visitation will be from 10:00 to 11:30 at the church prior to the service.
