Janice Kempker-Good, age 73, of Holland, formerly of Mount Pleasant, passed away Friday, April 22, 2022.
Jan was born in Holland, to Russell and Betty (Kelly) Kempker on April 2, 1949.
She graduated from Holland High School and received her Master’s Degree from Central Michigan University, in Mount Pleasant. Jan was a lifelong educator with the majority of her career at St. Louis Schools, in St. Louis, MI. Jan loved being a teacher and was also the Athletic Director and Women’s Assistant Basketball Coach. Jan had to take early retirement in 2003, following an automobile accident. Following retirement, she spent her time between Florida and Michigan. For the last seven months, she called Holland, home.
Jan was preceded in death by her parents.
Surviving are her siblings, Russ and Mary Kempker, Priscilla Potter, and Mary Van Vels; beloved nieces, nephews, and cousins.
The family would like to thank the staff at Resthaven Maple Woods, for their exceptional care, for Jan (who was very happy there), the last several months.
No services or visitations are scheduled.
