Janice DeFeyter

Janice Miriam DeFeyter (Niles), age 88, of Holland went to be with the Lord on Monday, June 3, 2024, at Resthaven Care Center.

She was preceded in death by her parents, George and Vera Hornie; her brother, Greg Horn; two loving husbands, Charles (Chuck) DeFeyter and Courtney Niles; and her granddaughter, Jocelyn Niles.

Jan leaves behind her children: Kimberly (Clark) Laarman, David Niles, Lisa (Tom) Maratea, and Elisabeth (Ben) Tinholt; stepdaughters: Char (Randy) Zwiers and Cindy Fishnick; 15 grandchildren; 13 great- grandchildren; sisters-in-law: Alma (Merle) Boerman and Karen Horn.

Jan loved to study the Bible and spend time with family and friends. She appreciated the beauty in life. Jan enjoyed gardening, bird watching, music, and art. She will be lovingly remembered and missed by her family.

A memorial service will be held at 11:00 am, Thursday, June 13, 2024, with a lite lunch immediately following at Parkside Bible Church, 14461 James St., Holland. Pastors Gary Spykerman and Joe Johnson will be officiating. Inurnment will be in Lakewood Cemetery.

Visitation will be from 10:00 – 11:00 am prior to the service. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be directed to Disciple Makers Multiplied, P.O.
