Jack Richard Voss

Jack Richard Voss, age 62, of Holland, passed away on Sunday, August 6, 2017. His parents were Dale and Gladys (Zoerhoff) Voss. A life-long resident of this community, he was educated in the Holland Christian and Holland Public Schools. He was a member of Ridgepoint Community Church.

He is survived by MaryJo Voss, his loving wife for 42 years; children, James Richard (and Courtney) Voss, Robert Jon Voss and Daniel Jack Voss, all of Holland; a brother, William Dale (and Carol) Voss; brothers and sisters-in-law; Joan and John Dayton of Fayetteville, NC, Karen and Dave Westrate of Holland and William and Maureen Boerigter of Stoughton, WI; three grand-children, Olyvia Christine, Avagh Danielle and Dylan James; several nieces, nephews, aunts and uncles.

He co-owned and operated the Voss Boys Service Station, worked at Crown Motors as the Collision Shop Manager and then for Riverbend Body Shop in Allendale. He retired in 2012. He worked in the automotive sector his entire life and had a passion for motor sports which he actively shared with his three beloved sons. He served as a Holland Reserve Police Officer for over ten years and as a deacon for First Reformed Church of Holland.

Visitation will be 3-5 pm, on Sunday, August 13, at the Dykstra Funeral Home-Mulder Chapel, 188 West 32nd Street. There will be a private memorial service for the family. Burial will be at Pilgrim Home Cemetery.
