Life Story / Obituary

Print

Jacilyn Jean Beckman, age 25, passed away peacefully on July 28 with her family by her side. Jaci’s smile was contagious and would light up any room. She taught so many what it meant to never give up and to live each day to the fullest.

Jaci was preceded in death by her grandmother, Sharon Beckman; grandfather, Warren Rasmussen; cousin, Olivia Veldink; and dear friend of the family, Rudy Aviña.

She is survived by her parents, Jack (Rachel) Beckman, and Cindy Beckman; sisters, Erin Beckman, Stacey (Charlie) Banyai, and Allison Beckman; niece and nephews, Marla, Henrick, and Isaac Banyai; grandparents, Allen Beckman, Jane Rasmussen, and Keith & Ann VanZoeren; and great-aunt, Jean Mast. Jaci was also dearly loved by many aunts, uncles, and cousins.

Our family would like to say a special thank you to all of the nurses, teachers, and aides who helped care for Jaci over the past 20 years. Their unconditional love for her will never be forgotten. We especially would like to thank our family and friends who have supported us throughout Jaci’s life.

A visitation for Jaci will be Thursday, August 2nd from 4-6pm at Community Church of Douglas, 6874 Wiley Rd, Fennville, MI. A memorial service will follow starting at 6pm with Rev. Jeff Messner officiating.

Memorial contributions may be made to the A-T Children’s Project, or Olivia’s Gift.
