Irene Roberts

Irene O. Roberts, age 94, peacefully passed away April 25, 2014 supported by her loving family at her side. Sadly, her husband, Chester J. Roberts, preceded her in death.

Irene is survived by her children; Chester (Audrey) Roberts, Terry Roberts, and Sandy (Wally) Castle. She is also survived by her; sister, Wanda Kownacki, six grandchildren, and thirteen great-grandchildren.

Irene was very devoted to her family and her Catholic faith. At St. Francis de Sales, she was active in serving as a Eucharistic Minister, choir member, and other ministries for the church. She was also a master gardener, and received several Tulip Time awards.

Visitation for Irene will be held May 13 at 10:00 am at St. Francis de Sales Catholic Church. Fr. James VanderLaan will be officiating the funeral Mass at 11:00 am.

Arrangements are by the Mulder Chapel – Dykstra Funeral Home, Inc.

Memorial donations may be made to the Angel Fund at the Ottawa Animal Hospital or to St. Francis de Sales church.
