Inocensio P. Mireles Jr., age 79, of Holland, passed away Wednesday, November 17, 2021.

Inocensio was born on March 27, 1942 in La Villa, Texas to Inocensio Mireles Sr. and Ramona Perez. Mr. Mireles and his family moved to Michigan in 1970. He vacationed to Texas frequently to visit family, which was very important to him. Mr. Mireles was very active in his grandchildren's lives and they will always remember his love and support. Mr. Mireles also raised two of his grandchildren, (Wicho and Lydia). He married the love of his life, Ms. Esmeralda Hernandez on May 26, 1963 and together they enjoyed 58 wonderful years of marriage. For nearly two decades, he was employed by Trend Clock Company, which ultimately became Sligh Furniture. Mr. Mireles always had a big smile on his face and he had a great sense of humor. He loved to play sports, especially baseball and golf. He was an avid Detroit Tigers fan. Inocensio also loved to grill, host family parties and watch old western movies. Mr. Mireles was also the neighborhood dad on West 10th Street, everyone was always welcome in his home. He was loved by all who knew him and he will truly be missed.

Inocensio is survived by his dear wife, Esmeralda Mireles; daughters, Ruby Anaya, Ramona Mireles, Raquel Mireles, Rima (Tommy) Cantu; sons, Raul (Rhonda) Mirelez, Rene (Gretchen) Mireles; 19 Grandchildren; 17 Great Grandchildren; brothers, Fidel (Anna) Mireles, Carlos Mireles; sisters, Janie Mireles, Hope (Robert) Ramos, Elvira Serna and Fela Aleman.

He was preceded in death by a brother, Alfredo Mireles and a nephew, Tomas Mirelez.

The family will receive visitors from 10:00am to 11:45am, on Wednesday, December 1, at St. Francis de Sales Catholic Church, 171 West 13th Street, Holland. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 12:00pm at the church following visitation. Father Charlie Brown will preside over the ceremony. A funeral procession to honor Mr. Mireles will make its way from St. Francis de Sales to Pilgrim Home Cemetery for a 1:15pm graveside service and interment.

Memorial contributions may be given to St. Francis de Sales Catholic Church.

Funeral arrangements are under the auspices of the Mulder Chapel.
