Howard M. Topp age 93 of Holland died Tuesday January 19, 2016 at Holland Community Hospital.

Born in Holland, Howard graduated from Holland Christian High School and served in the U.S. Navy during WWll. Following the service he co- owned Rypma and Topp Shell Service and later worked at several dealerships in the Holland area including Ter Haar Venhuizen Cadillac Olds, VandenBerg Buick and Crown Motors.

Howard was a long time member of First Reformed Church serving as past Deacon and Elder and was a Kids Hope Tutor. He was active at the Holland Aquatic Center until he turned 90.

His wife Jean preceded him in death in 2013.

Howard is survived by his children; Susan Topp of Holland, Nancy (Mark) Schrotenboer of Holland, grandchildren, Katie (Brandon) Nagelkirk and Elizabeth Schrotenboer, sister Ruth Ann Van Zanten of Jenison, sisters-in-law, Ella Topp of Grand Rapids, Edna Haworth of Holland and nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be held Saturday 2:00PM at First Reformed Church 630 State St. with Dr. Daniel Gillett officiating. Burial will be in Pilgrim Home Cemetery.

Friends may call on the family Friday 6-8 at the Mulder Chapel, Dykstra Funeral Homes, 188 West 32nd St. Holland.

Memorial gifts may be given to First Reformed Church Memorial Fund.

The family would like to thank the staff at Appledorn Assisted Living for the thoughtful, thorough care they gave to both Howie and Jean.
