Henrietta Van Liere, age 95 of Holland, peacefully passed away into the arms of Jesus on December 13, 2021.

Henrietta was born to Herman and Jennie Deters in East Saugatuck and was one of 13 kids. She was a long-time member of Bethany Christian Reformed Church and was strong in her faith. Her greatest joys were spending time with her family. She was a loving mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother, and will be deeply missed by all.

Henrietta was preceded in death by her husband Theodore Poppema in 1969; husband, Adrian Van Liere in 2010; son-in-law, Mark Breuker; stepson, Dale (Chris) Van Liere, along with 10 siblings.

She is survived by her children; Larry (Sally) Poppema, Ron (Carol) Poppema, Diane Breuker, Linda (Bob) DeHaan; 22 grandchildren; 24 great-grandchildren; stepchildren, Earl (Ingrid) Van Liere, Larry (Blake) Van Liere, Lois (Rog) Sneller, Randy (Julie) Van Liere, Kathy (Jim) Batts; grandchildren; great-grandchildren; brothers, Justin (Joyce) Deters, Alvin (Marion) Deters; sister-in-law, Dorothy Deters, along with many nieces, and nephews.

A funeral service will take place on Friday, December 17, 2021, at 11:00am at Bethany Christian Reformed Church (11 E 32nd St, Holland). A one-hour visitation will take place prior to the service. Burial will take place at Restlawn Memorial Gardens. In lieu of flowers, please consider making a donation to Hospice of Holland.
