Helen M. Matejka, age 91, of Holland, MI passed away peacefully to her heavenly home on Sunday, February 7, 2016 at Appledorn Living Center.

Helen attended Central Wesleyan Church. She was born in St. Louis, Missouri and moved to Bella Vista, Arkansas later in life. More recently she moved to Holland to be near her daughter. Helen was passionate about serving others locally in her church and in mission’s projects around the world. Her love for Jesus was evident as she lived her life. She was preceded in death by her first husband, Forrest King in 1976, and second husband, Robert Matejka in 1997 and her son, Roger King (St.Peters, MO) in 2001.

She is survived by her children: Donna and Jay Hostetler of Holland, MI

Daniel and Denise King of St. Peters, MO; grandchildren: Chantal and Greg Schmidt, Christy and Mike Green, Todd and Jennifer Hostetler, Melissa and Matt Kolbo, Nicholas King and Danielle King; 9 great grandchildren; 1 great great grandson; brother: Edward Johnson of Denver, CO; many nieces, nephews and cousins

A memorial service will be 11:00 am, Thursday, February 11, 2016 at Mulder Chapel, 188 West 32nd Street in Holland. Rev. Larry Johnson will be officiating. Burial will be in Laurel Hills Cemetery in St. Louis, MO.
