Harriet Riemersma, age 86, of Holland, passed away peacefully, Friday, September 17, 2021.

Harriet was born in Holland and graduated from Holland High School. She worked as an education assistant in the West Ottawa Public School System for many years and was a member of the Rose Park Reformed Church.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Remo (Jerold) in 2009.

Surviving are her children, Jeff (Jodi) Riemersma, Terri (Brian) Rexford, Kevin (MerryJo) Riemersma, Janine (Kevin Moore) Riemersma, and Greg (Patty) Riemersma; grandchildren, Jeana (Anthony) Holt, Nick Riemersma, Ashley (Brandon) Rowe, Jackie Riemersma and Mark Kirkwood, Noah (Esxca) Rexford, Gabe Rexford, Sean (Gabbie) Riemersma, Jordan Riemersma, Olivia Rexford and Logan Alvarez, and Heather Riemersma; great-grandchildren, Jackson, Maxwell, Fox, and Wren; siblings, Bert Miedema, Sherman Ortman, Beverley (Bill) Tamminga, Harold (Janice) Ortman; in-laws, Louise Ortman and Pearl Riemersma; nephews, nieces, and cousins.

Funeral services will be 1:30 pm Monday (September 20) at Rose Park Reformed Church, with Rev. Mark Waterstone officiating. Burial will be in Restlawn Memorial Gardens. Visitation will be 12:30 to 1:30 Monday, prior to the service at the church.

Memorial contributions may be made to Hospice of Holland.

Arrangements are by the Dykstra Funeral Home-Northwood Chapel.
