Harlene Lubbers, age 85, of Overisel, was welcomed into the arms of Jesus, Saturday, February 17, 2018.

She was born in Overisel, and was a lifelong member of Overisel Reformed Church.

Harlene spent many years volunteering at various organizations which reflected her servant's heart. She was a wonderful example of living out her faith and showing God's love to everyone. She enjoyed spending time with and loving her family.

She was preceded in death by her husband of 65 years, Harvey in 2016 and 5 great-grandchildren.

Surviving are her children, Calvin and Karen Lubbers, Steven and Janis Lubbers, and Judy and Donald Schra; 8 grandchildren, Lisa and Mike Van Ommen (Lauren and Allie), Scott and Stacey Lubbers (Miles and Tensae), Robb and Katie Lubbers (Grayden, Sadler, and Jovie), Jeremy and Alyssa Lubbers (Jensen and Bennett), Ryan Lubbers, Amanda and Kevin Annis (Melanie and Aaron), Leah and Ryan Dannenberg, and Jenna Schra; sisters, Josephine Hoffman and Marilyn and Dale Folkert; in-laws, Lloyd and Helen Lubbers, Stanley and Barbara Lubbers, Goldie Sternberg and Nancee and Ken Kleinheksel; nephews, nieces, and cousins.

Memorial services will be 11 am, Friday (February 23) at Overisel Reformed Church, 4706 142nd Avenue, with Rev. Ken Kleinheksel officiating. Burial will be in Overisel Cemetery. Visitation will be 6-8 pm Thursday (February 22), also at the church.
