Gregorio Mata

Gregorio Mata, age 91, of Holland died Friday, September 15, 2017 at his home.

He was a member of St. Francis de Sales Catholic Church. Gregorio retired from Heinz after 20 years of service. He enjoyed spending time with his family and playing with the grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his son Gerardo Mata.

He is survived by his wife, Sabina and children: Simon Mata, Pedro and Maria Mata, Jose and Linda Mata, Facundo (Dave) and Lori Mata, Luz and Maximiliano Chavarria, Pablo Mata and Juan and Noelia Mata; many grandchildren and great grandchildren.

A funeral mass will be held at 11:00 am, Wednesday, September 20, 2017 at St. Francis de Sales Catholic Church, 171 West 13th Street in Holland. Father Charles Brown and Father Kyle Kilpatrick will be officiating. Burial will be in Pilgrim Home Cemetery.

Visitation will be from 5-8 pm, Tuesday, September 19, 2017 at St. Francis de Sales Catholic Church with wake prayers at 7:00 pm. and from 10-11 am prior to the funeral mass. Arrangements are by Dykstra Funeral Home – Mulder Chapel.
