Gordon Vork, 89, went to be with his Lord and Savior on Tuesday Nov. 15, 2016. He was a lifelong resident of Holland, and member of Noordeloos Christian Reformed Church. Mr. Vork was preceded in death by his wife, Margery; parents, Charles (Maude) Vork; brothers, John (Johanna) Vork, Harold (Dorothy) Vork, Cornelius (Alice) Vork, and Kenneth (Hazel) Vork; son-in-law, Kelly Sloothaak; brother-in-law, George Smeenge.

Gordon is survived by his daughters, Karen Sloothaak, Jayne (Ron) Perkins; sons, David (Nancy) Vork, Doug (Ginger) Vork; grandchildren, Melissa (Rob) Brouwer, Mark (Christine) Sloothaak, Eric Sloothaak, Emma (Brian) Cannon, Lucas Perkins, Aaron, Tony, and Jon Vork; great grandchildren, Caden, Easton, and Landon Brouwer; brother, Marvin (Marjorie) Vork; sister, Betty (Alvin) Van Den Brink; in-laws, Henne Smeenge, Carl (Ruth) Nyboer, Paul (June) Smeenge; many nieces and nephews.

Visitation will be held at the Dykstra Funeral Home - Northwood Chapel, 295 Douglas Avenue, Holland, on Sunday November 20, from 3-5 p.m. A funeral ceremony will be held at Noordeloos Christian Reformed Church, 4055 112th Avenue in Holland, on Monday, November 21, at 11:00 a.m. with Pastor Matt Riddle officiating. Burial will be in Restlawn Memorial Gardens. Memorial contributions can be made to Hospice of Holland, and Children of The Promise in Haiti.
