Gordon E. Dalman, age 89 passed away Thursday April 7, at Lakeside Vista.
Gordon was born in Holland, MI and at the age of 15 decided to leave home to work on the SS Alabama which cruised the Great Lakes. From that moment on, his love for ships became his life. Gordon became a unionized merchant seaman which allowed him to travel the world.
He is proceeded in death by his parents Garrit and Tillie Dalman; brothers Charles Dalman, Don Dalman; sisters Harriet Neinhuis, Florence Simms, Lillian Aho, Marion Snyder, and Mary Schippers.
Gordon is survived by his sisters Joyce Kuipers, Carolyn Bouman Baker; brothers Jack Dalman, Gary Dalman, along with several nieces and nephews.
