Glada Mae Bakker Assink age 83 of West Olive died Sunday, October 23,2016 at her home surrounded by her family.

Born in Holland, Glada was a lifelong member of Harlem Reformed Church. In 1985 she and her husband Bernard started B-Glad Antiques.

Bernard passed away in 1999. She is also preceded in death by her daughter Bonnie Henley, 5 grandchildren and parents, Jacob and Dora Bakker.

She is survived by her daughters; Cristi Assink of Holland, Cindy Dirkse of W. Olive, Tamie Assink of Weberville, MI., 5 grandchildren,18 great grandchildren, brothers and sister; Ronald (Helen) Bakker of Arizona, Yvonne (Don) Higgs of Holland, Keith (Jean) Bakker of Grand Haven, brother in law, Loren Rigterink of Hamilton, sisters in law; Cora Vanden Bosch of Zeeland, Dorothy Schrotenboer of Zeeland, Hazel Assink of West Olive and nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be held Wednesday, 11:00AM at Harlem Reformed Church, 6854 144th Ave., Holland with Revs. John Nyitray and Steven Smallegan officiating. Burial will be in Restlawn Memorial Gardens.

Friends may call on the family tonight (Tuesday) 5-8 at the Northwood Chapel, Dykstra Funeral Homes, 295 Douglas Ave., Holland.
