Flora G. Lopez

Flora G. Lopez, age 82 of Holland, passed away January 19, 2019 at Holland Hospital.

Born in Pecos, TX to Jesus and Conrada, Flora moved to Holland in 1954 and graduated from Holland High School. She worked at the Herrick Public Library for 29 years and was a member of St. Francis de Sales Catholic Church. Flora enjoyed many things in life but what was most important to her was her faith, and her two sons. She will be deeply missed.

She was preceded in death by her husband Jesus “Jesse” in 1997; and brothers, Johnny Garcia and Louie Garcia.

Flora is survived by her sons, Robert Lopez, Jesus Lopez; brothers, Fr. Pedro Garcia, Robert Garcia; sisters, Teresa G. Beltran, Andrea V. Garcia, Chona Rangel, Gloria Tapia; sister-in-laws, Carmen Tapia, Fina Saldivar, Adela Pena; brother-in-law, Fermin Lopez, along with many nieces, nephews, and cousins.

Visitation will take place on Wednesday, January 23 from 7-9pm at St. Francis de Sales Catholic Church, with a rosary taking place at 8pm. A funeral will take place on Thursday, January 24 at 11:00am also at St. Francis de Sales Catholic Church. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Miles of Smiles - Ottawa Department of Public Health, or St. Jude Children's Hospital.
