Ethel Ende

Ethel Ende, age 94, of Zeeland, passed away Monday, January 18, 2016. She was a loving Mother, Grandmother, Great Grandmother, and Great Great Grandmother. Ethel was a longtime member of the Trinity Reformed Church. She was an excellent seamstress and has donated many children's quilts through her church and International Aid and made many Baptism blankets for her family over the years. She served meals at Community Kitchen for 16 years. Ethel also had a love of fishing. Ethel was preceded in death by her husbands, Richard De Zeeuw in 1954, Bernard Ende in 1980, grandson, Robert Lubbers, sister and brother-in-law Marge and Art Vandenbrand, and sister-in-law Betty Dams. She is survived by her children, Sharon Nykamp, Judith and Robert Lubbers, and Richard and Janice De Zeeuw; 8 grandchildren, Randall and Laurie Jacobs, Julie and Jay Updegraff, Jody and Steven Becksfort, Ryan and Michon Lubbers, Richard Lubbers, Robin and David Kail, Joe De Zeeuw, and Jeremy De Zeeuw; 17 great-grandchildren and 1 great-great-grandson; sister and brothers, Gordon and Joan Dams, Raymond Dams, and Eugene and Shirley Dams; nephews and nieces. Funeral services will be held 11am Friday (January 22) at the Trinity Reformed Church, 712 Apple Ave., with the Rev. Chris De Graaf officiating. Burial will be in Restlawn Memorial Gardens. Visitation will be 10-10:45 am Friday (January 22) at the church. Memorials may be made to the American Cancer Society or Hospice of Holland.
