Eric Fauri of Spring Lake Township died Wednesday, April 24, 2019, at the age of 77. Eric was born in Grand Ledge, Michigan to Fedele and Iris Fauri in 1942. After graduating from University High School in Ann Arbor Michigan in 1959, Eric attended the University of Delaware, where he played football and was a member of ROTC. He graduated in 1963 with military honors and degrees in Economics, English and Political Science. He then earned a Law degree from the University of Michigan Law School in 1966 and was employed as an attorney with Dykema Gosset in Detroit. In 1967 he reported for active duty as a Captain in the Army and was stationed in Rock Island, Illinois until 1969. He married Sherry in July of 1969 and they resided in Detroit. In 1971, they moved to West Michigan and Eric joined the Law firm of Parmenter, Forsyth, and Rude, which later became Parmenter O’Toole where he specialized in banking and business law.

Eric loved to spend time with his family, exercise, attend the symphony and listen to classical music. Eric was predeceased by his wife Sherry. He will be lovingly remembered by his children; Lauren, Nadia, and Kirk and their families; and siblings David, Paul, and Greta and their families. A private family service will be held at a later date. Memorial contributions may be given to the West Michigan Symphony, The Muskegon Museum of Art, or Great Lakes Caring Hospice.
