Edward Lee Townsend was born December 26,1949 in Greenville, Mississippi to Hattie Mae and J.D. Townsend. He was raised by his grandmother Lenna Mae Jones as well as Mack Funches.Edward "JUNEBUG" as every one would call him, Left Greenville,MS at the early age of 17 years old. He moved to Chicago,IL where he later met his wife Marsha. They gave birth to three children Mario, Hattie and Devon all of Holland,MI. June Bug had a work ethic unmatched. Which started as a young child where he worked on a farm. He worked at Natico Manufacturing for 10years before he moved to Holland, MI where he later worked at Schupan for 15 years, and up until his retirement in 2019 he worked at Challenge..He loved his family, and even when he didn't want to come out much we knew he'd come out for his grandkids who he loved with every inch of him. He loved to listen to his oldies, fishing and watching his football. One thing for sure June Bug knew how to dress, always in his best, smelling good, Stacy Adams on his feet with a fresh manicure on his hands. With a smile that could brighten up any room, he blessed us with his presence. June Bug was truly a blessing. He taught us all how to love and once you were his friend you were family! Edward leaves to cherish his children Mario, Hattie, Devon, Terrell, Sheila, and Jennifer. Siblings Lucille, Lavern, Fred, Larry, Bishop Dewayne, Shirley, Alfred and Darlene.
