Dorothy Ondersma

Dorothy (VanHoven) Ondersma, age 94, passed away peacefully from her earthly home to her heavenly home on Thursday, January 25, 2024 in Holland, Michigan.

Dorothy was born February 25, 1929, in Grand Rapids, Michigan and enjoyed living the last half of her life in Holland, Michigan. Dorothy was an R.N. who retired as an Occupational Health Nurse from Steelcase in 1992. She and Marv spent many years wintering in Venice, Florida. She enjoyed playing the piano and singing in the Metropolitan Choir of Praise and Holland Chorale.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Marvin in 2008. Dorothy is survived by her four children; Jim Ondersma, Don (Jo) Ondersma, Ruth (Dave) Veenstra and Ellen (John) Ellerbroek; 13 grandchildren and 31 great grandchildren; her brother Ken (Judy) VanHoven.

There will be no funeral services. Her life and legacy w)ill be celebrated by her family at a later date. Memorial contributions may be given to the charity of one's choice.
