Doris Delke

Doris Delke, age 98, of Rogers City, MI, formerly of Holland, MI, left her home in the arms of her song into her eternal home in the arms of Jesus on August 10, 2015.

Doris was born June 10, 1917 in Wallaceburg, Ontaria, Canada.

Doris was preceded in death by her husband, Edward, and her sons, Donald and Larry McCalum.

Doris is survived by her daughter, Patricia (Michael) Barton; son, Daniel (Janice) Delke; brother, Arthur (Patricia) Franklin; and many grandchildren; great-grandchildren; and great-great-grandchildren. She is also survived by her stepdaughter, Sharon Brooks.

Doris was a member of the Crafty Ladies Guild of Rogers City, making lap robes and hates for the VA hospital in Grand Rapids, MI. She loved riding motorcycles with her son, Danny, until age 94.

According to her wishes, cremation has taken place. There will be a memorial service on Saturday, August 22 at Woodview Christian Church; 3785 Woodview Avenue, Wyoming, MI at 11:00 am with a visitation one hour prior. Pastor John Stradtner will be officiating.
