Donna Mae Dreyer, age 90, went to be with her Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ on Friday, August 26, 2022, surrounded by her family.

Donna was born to Budd and Susan Eastman and lived in Holland all her life. She graduated from Holland High School where she was a cheerleader and Sports Editor for the high school newspaper.

She was employed by Parke-Davis/Warner-Lambert in their Pharmaceutical and Chemical Engineering Departments where she retired after 32 years of service. After her retirement, Donna owned and operated her own restaurant for 7 years, the Sunnyside Café. Donna also worked part-time at Camp Geneva with their food service and housekeeping departments. She spent her later years working for Evergreen Commons as an In-Home Care helper until she was 82.

Donna was preceded in death by her first husband, Paul Nieboer and her second husband, John Dreyer, Sr. and two stepsons, Charles Dreyer and William Dreyer.

Donna is survived by four children, Vincent Nieboer, Marlene Nieboer Barkel, Jeffrey Nieboer (Ria), and Lisa Dreyer Lantz (Dave); two stepchildren, John Dreyer, Jr (Marilyn), and Virginia Dreyer Meurer (Peter); several grandchildren and great grandchildren.

Donna has always enjoyed cooking and baking along with bowling and golf. She spent many years involved in harness racing at regional fairs and was a member of an area snowmobile club. She was a very active person who loved life and always had a smile on her face, especially for her children, grandchildren and great grandchildren.

Donna enjoyed going on mission trips to several different countries where she used her God given gifts to serve her Lord. Her loving and giving heart reached out to many on her life’s journey.

A Celebration of Life Service will be held, 1:30 pm, Wednesday (August 31), at Beechwood Church, 895 Ottawa Beach Road, with Rev. David Lantz officiating. Burial will be in Blendon Township Cemetery.

There will be a time of fellowship for family and friends immediately following the service.

Memorials may be made to one’s choice.

Arrangements are by the Dykstra Funeral Home-Mulder Chapel.
