Donald Veele, age 90, of Holland, entered into Glory, Thursday, April 14, 2016 at his home, surrounded by his family.
Don retired from Herman Miller, where he drove long distance, logging over 3 million miles.
He will be fondly remembered by his family for his love of singing, yodeling, and his love for music.
Don and his wife, Marlene (Mimi), visited over 50 countries during their 60 years of marriage and also spent their winters in Florida.
Don proudly served in the United States Navy during WWII.
He is survived by his wife; Marlene (Mimi); children, Michael and Mary Veele, Keith and Michelle Lankheet, Constance and Kelley Gray, Lynn and Tony Pedela, and Laurel Veele; 12 grandchildren and 27 great grandchildren; brother and sisters, Adrian and Harriet Veele, Louise Van Slooten, and Gloria Siersma; in-laws, Vernon and Leona Houting and Marilyn Houting; nephews, nieces, and cousins.
Funeral services will be 11 am Monday (April 18) at the Dykstra Funeral Home-Northwood Chapel, 295 Douglas Avenue.
Entombment will be in Restlawn Memorial Gardens.
Visitation will be 2-4 pm Sunday (April 17) at the Dykstra Funeral Home-Northwood Chapel.
Memorial contributions may be made to Hospice of Holland.
