Dolores Schaub went to be with Christ on March 24th 2018. She was 82 years of age.

Born; Dolores Jean Ryzenga in Riverside Illinois on August 21st 1935 to Marvin and Evelyn (Woodruff) Ryzenga. She spent her early childhood in Riverside. At the time of her birth, her father was employed at the Brookfield Zoo. Dolores had fond memories of helping her father raise monkeys.

When still a child, her family returned to their roots in Holland Michigan. Her heritage predates the arrival of Dutch Settlers in the area. Prior to the arrival of Settlers, her great-grandfather Henry Woodruff was an interrupter for Native Americans.

She was married and divorced, raising five children as a single parent. After raising her five children, she remarried and had four stepchildren.

Generosity, love and concern for other people were reflected throughout her life. Having had numerous pet cats and dogs, her love of animals carried into adulthood.

She was preceded in death by her father Marvin Ryzenga, sister Linda Bos, stepfather Ben Bos, husband Larry Schaub, stepson Larry Schaub Jr, grandson Scott Veldhuis, brother Gene Ryzenga, mother Evelyn Bos, son in-law Wayne Maatman, son in-law Roy Pickett and son in-law Richard Warnock.

Dolores Schaub is survived by five children, three stepchildren, numerous grandchildren and great grandchildren, two nieces, two brothers, a sister and sister in-law.

She was a member of Immanuel Church of Holland, and will be buried next her husband Larry Schaub at East Saugatuck Cemetery.
