Dolores “Dee” Engels (née De Young), our bright, beautiful, thoughtful, and compassionate mother and grandmother, born in 1931, passed away on February 18, 2018 in Holland, Michigan. Dee’s husband, Jim, passed away in 2003 and her daughter, Nancy, passed away in 2012. Her son Dann (Que-Lan), and daughter Elizabeth survive her. Dee leaves behind 6 grandchildren, Fred (Jenny) Neuman, Kane Stricker, Kodi (Wes) Hudson, Katya Stricker, James and Sophie Engels, and 2 great-grandchildren. Dee has requested there be no funeral. A celebration of Dee’s life is being planned for Memorial Day weekend in Holland.
