Dixie Lee Lewis

Dixie Lee Lewis, age 80, of Holland, passed away peacefully, Thursday June 7, 2018. Mrs. Lewis was born in Holland, Michigan and attended South Haven Public Schools. She married her husband Kenny in 1986 at the Busy Bee Flea Market. Dixie loved sewing, cooking, spending time with her family, as well as, going to garage sales and flea markets. She also loved her cats. Dixie attended St. Patrick - St. Anthony Parish in Grand Haven.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Arthur Kruithoff and Bessie (Frank) Remick; husband, Kenneth Lewis; sister, Diane Kowitz; daughters, Dora Bailey and Theresa Bailey; son, Roderick Bailey; grand-daughter, Sara Bailey.

Mrs. Lewis is survived by her children, Maria Bailey, Terry (Cindy) Lake, Jeffrey (Sara) Jeanette; sisters, Sandy Holton, Linda Drake, Sharon Kamen, Nancy Hubley; special friend, Virgil Chawlcraft; many grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

A funeral ceremony will take place 1:00 p.m., Monday, June 11, at the Dykstra Funeral Home - Northwood Chapel, 295 Douglas Avenue, Holland. Visitation will be from 11:00 a.m. to 12:45 p.m. at the Northwood Chapel prior to the service. Rev. Ken Kruithoff will officiate the ceremony.
