Dennis Betz Sr. age 78, of Saugatuck, passed away Saturday, January 25, 2014 at Holland Hospital.
Dennis retired in 1997, from Magna Donnelly, after 38 years of employment. He was a wonderful family man and always loved spending time with his family, especially his grandchildren.
Dennis is survived by his wife, Connie, of 57 years; children, Terri and Dennis Michaels, Dennis Betz Jr., Susan and Craig Smeenge, and Nancie Betz Sluis; 4 grandchildren, Austin Smeenge, Courtney Smeenge, Kyle and Sarah Sluis, and Kerry Sluis; sister, Patricia and David Webster; brother, Thomas and Dixie Betz; in-laws, Gary and Peggy Johnson and Tony and Linnea Johnson; many nephews and nieces.
Visitation will be 6-8 pm Thursday at Dykstra Funeral Home-Saugatuck Chapel, 520 Lake Street.
No services are scheduled.
Burial will be in Riverside Cemetery.
Memorial contributions may be made to the American Heart Association or Sloan Kettering.
