Deane Williams, 88, of Holland, passed away on Monday, March 18, 2024, with family by her side.

Deane was born in Allegan, MI, to Vern “Red” and Jean Olcott in 1935. She married her high school sweetheart, Jack Hartman, and they had 5 children before the marriage ended after 21 years. Deane became active in the Holland Civic Theatre, and there she met Dick Williams. Deane and Dick married in 1977.

Deane worked at Meijer as a cashier for over 30 years. She was known for her love of her family, those who serve in the military, travel, the Holland Civic Theatre, card games, Siamese cats, fashion (especially with sequins), and hats!

Deane was preceded in death by her husband Dick, brother and sister-in-law Vern and Bonnie Olcott, stepson Mark Williams, son John Hartman, step granddaughter Amy Bridges, and great-grandson Jameson Mather. She is survived by her sister Joy and Alan Gough; children/stepchildren Terrie and Chris Bullinger, Cricket Cole, Scott and Pam Hartman, Brent and Jennifer Hartman, Kim and Jim Mentzer, Jann and Vince Smith, and Cindy and Rick Carmichael; 23 grandchildren and 19 great-grandchildren; many nieces, nephews, and loving friends.

Visitation and celebration of life will be on Saturday, April 13, at the Holland First United Methodist Church. Visitation to start at 10:00am, and the service at 11:00am. Luncheon to be served afterwards. A private burial will take place at Pilgrim Home Cemetery.

Memorial contributions to the Holland Civic Theatre in honor of Deane are suggested.
