David "Davey" Belke

David “Davey” J. Belke, age, 85, of Douglas, died Monday March 7, 2016.

Born in Grand Rapids, graduate of Union High School. After high school Davey joined the United States Air Force where he served during the Korean Conflict. He was a long time resident of Douglas. He retired from Consumers Power. He was an avid fisherman, outdoorsman, and loved working in his gardens. He also enjoyed watching sports on TV.

Surviving are children: Michael Belke, Nancy Belke of Grand Rapids, Debbie (Michael) Price of Grand Rapids, and MaryAnne (James) Shrode of Ft. Myers Beach, FL. Also surviving are grandchildren: Brandon Belke, Megan Belke, Joshua Price, Alex Price, Ashley Silvis, and Jessica Silvis; 1 great grandson Brayden; brother Jack Belke of Grand Rapids; ex-wife Carol Belke of Holland, and her children Christy, Vicki, and Tracy; grandchildren and great grandchildren; nieces, nephews and cousins.

Funeral services will be held on Friday March 11, 2016 at 11:00 am at the Saugatuck Chapel, Dykstra Funeral Homes 520 Lake St. Officiating will be the Rev. Corwin Stoppel.
