Crystal Suzanne Latham, age 37, was born on June 22, 1980 and passed away on October 9, 2017.

Crystal was born and raised in San Diego, CA and later moved to Holland, MI. Crystal was always pure of heart, always willing to help those in need. She had a strong artistic ability. As a child she competed on the YMCA swim team, and received many first place medals. She completed the rigorous lifeguard program many times. Crystal was also on the PLHS swim team where she attended high school. She loved the ocean and collecting seashells.

Growing up the oldest of six children, she always offered her love and support to her siblings. Crystal was known lovingly by them as sissy girl or cheezel. Crystal loved care bears and was known to cuddle with her giant care bear for comfort. Crystal lived and promoted a peaceful life, hippy-style clothing and beads. She attended local churches to learn the ways of God.

Crystal was a devoted mother to her three children. She included herself in their daily lives; they would go on exploring adventures whenever possible, frequently going to the local pool and to local festivities. She doted after them all and loved them with all of her heart.

She was preceded in death by her grandparents, Aunts Thelma and Doris and Uncle Ray.

She is survived by her children: Zepher Teeters, Marabelle Teeters and Kayden Latham; mom and dad: Ann and Michael Powell; brothers: Michael Latham, Matthew Dotter, Gregory Dotter; sisters: Heather Dotter and Leah Powell; Former husband Aaron Teeters.

Crystal’s kindness and loving voice will be dearly missed – but never forgotten. Crystal will live forever in our hearts and also in Heaven.

A memorial service will be held at 7:00 pm, Monday, October 16, 2017 at the New Community – Fourth Reformed Church, 238 West 15th Street in Holland. Arrangements are by Dykstra Funeral Home – Downtown Chapel.
