Craig Ridder, age 61, passed away July 5, 2021.

Born on November 17, 1959, the son of Rosemary and Donald Ridder, he endured a life full of personal trials. Despite his own battles and pain, he loved his family fiercely.

Craig was a sarcastic, outdoorsman who spent time fishing and hunting. He also had a love for photography and enjoyed taking pictures of both nature and people. He served in the United States Navy for four years and enjoyed telling stories about his time overseas. Music brought him joy and he admired great guitarists and he absolutely loved dogs, including his Lucy. Craig was also blessed with a lifelong best friend, Ben, who was always there for him and loved him unconditionally.

He was preceded in death by his father, Donald Ridder and mother, Rosemary Ridder as well as his grandparents, Mabel and Joe Gadziemski and Bert and Dorothy Ridder.

He is survived by his girlfriend Char Rawson and his siblings, Glenn Ridder, Jeff Ridder, and Dawn Walton. He also leaves behind his daughter, Annika DeYoung as well as his nieces, Stephanie Teusink and Abby Walton and nephews, Josh Ridder and Brandon Walton as well as Aunts, Uncles and Cousins.

A memorial visitation will be held Friday, July 9 from 6-8pm at Dykstra’s Funeral Home-Northwood Chapel, 295 Douglas Avenue.

In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the National Pancreatic Cancer Foundation.
