Christopher James Boeve passed away surrounded by his family Saturday, December 30, 2017 at the University Hospital in Ann Arbor, Michigan.

Chris was a wonderful and loving son, brother and grandson and was a Spartan through and through. He graduated from West Ottawa High School in 2005 where he participated in golf, basketball and tennis….golf being his true passion. Following high school he went on to graduate from Michigan State University in 2009. Chris grew up being a Spartan and always knew his formal degree would be as a MSU graduate. Following graduation, Chris worked for MSUFCU where he worked as a Web Developer. He was awarded the prestigious Crystal Award in 2014 at the Annual Awards dinner for his outstanding efforts and achievements and was involved in the Leadership Development Program at MSUFCU. He served on the Lansing Area United Way Charity Committee, the MSU Alumini Board of Directors and worked as a volunteer at Ele’s Place in Lansing. In early 2016 Chris moved to Grand Rapids to be closer to his family and worked at Spectrum Health as a Web Coordinator eventually moving back to Holland.

Chris was preceded in death by his grandmother whom he deeply loved Ruth Eleanor Van Wyk of Holland.

He is survived by his parents Dr. Ronald and Terrie Deenik and Kraig and Marybeth Boeve, his sister Lindsey (John) Zona, brothers, Alec Boeve, Joel (Elissa) Deenik, Tim (Jenna) Deenik, Paul (Kirsten) Deenik, Will Gleason, grandparents, L. James Van Wyk, Wayne and Hazel Boeve , Sandra Gleason as well as several aunts, uncles, nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be held Thursday 11:00 AM at Christ Memorial Church, 595 Graafschap Rd. with Rev. Gary Matthews officiating. A private graveside service will be held following the service at Pilgrim Home Cemetery.

Friends may greet the family Wednesday 4:00PM – 7:00PM at the Mulder Chapel, Dykstra Funeral Homes, 188 West 32nd St. Holland.

Memorial gifts may be given to Ele’s Place of Lansing or United Way of Lansing.
