Christine Licata

Christine "Chris" Licata, age 101, went to be with her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ on Thursday November 9, 2017. She was born in Clay, Kentucky to Jesse and Nancy Heady on July 16, 1916. In 1974 she moved to Holland from the Detroit area with her beloved Husband Sam J. Licata. Christine was a loving Christian woman with a giving heart. Many ministries were blessed by her financial contributions in order to spread the gospel of Jesus Christ. She loved to cook, can, garden, and feed everyone who walked through her door. She was preceded in death by her husband, Sam J. Licata; daughter, Mary Frances Ross. Mrs. Licata is survived by her sons, Jerry (Peggy), Rick (Melanie); grandchildren, Sherry, Jeff, Lori, Shelly, Sam, Greg, Kristen, Eric, Bryce; and many great-grandchildren.

Visitation will be 5-8pm Sunday November 12, at the Dykstra Funeral Home - Northwood Chapel, 295 Douglas Avenue, Holland. A funeral ceremony will take place the following day, 1pm Monday November 13, at the Dykstra Funeral Home. Pastor Chris DeGraaf will officiate the ceremony. Interment will be in Pilgrim Home Cemetery, Holland. The family was served by the Dykstra Funeral Home - Northwood Chapel.
