Charlotte Schaap, age 87, went to be with her Lord and Savior, Thursday, September 13. She was born to Cornelius and Sena Bouman and raised in Holland. Charlotte was a founding member of Rose Park Baptist Church in Holland and a current member of Landmark Baptist in Haines City, FL. Charlotte was a committed Christian all of her adult life - a devoted Baptist and faithful servant. Charlotte Schaap was married to Lloyd Schaap for 64 years. She was a devoted wife and mother six children. Charlotte enjoyed wintering in Florida, family gatherings, gospel music and church attendance above all. She endured a significant battle with cancer and went home in peace.
She is survived by her 6 children, Cheryl (Tom) Patterson, Nancy (Michael) Kirk, Mark (Jackie) Schaap, Mike (Cindy) Schaap, Doug Schaap, Lisa (Dolton) Robertson; 28 grandchildren; 29 great-grandchildren, sisters, brothers, nieces and nephews.
Visitation for Charlotte will be on Saturday, September 15 at 10 a.m. followed by the funeral service at 12 p.m. at Dykstra Funeral Home – Mulder Chapel, 188 W 32nd Street in Holland.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Hospice of Holland.
