Charlotte L. Amaya, age 88, of Holland passed away Monday, June 28, 2021 at Holland Hospital.

She was preceded in death by her husband John Amaya in 2018 and a brother John Mullen.

Charlotte is a beloved daughter of God, was a woman of strength and perseverance. If she believed in you and your cause she would defend and support you completely. She was a member of St. Peter Catholic Church and was a volunteer for meals on wheels in Holland. Charlotte worked retail sales at Jacobson’s, Danbury Square and Mira’s. Charlotte was very witty with a great sense of humor, yet spiritual and had a love for nature. She was loyal, sacrificial, selfless and wholeheartedly loved her husband and family as a wife, mother, grandmother and great grandmother. And now she enters glory to reunite with her husband John and meet her Lord and Savior.

She is survived by her children: Victor (Leslie) Amaya of Grand Rapids, MI, Sharon Amaya of Dearborn, MI and Greg Amaya of Atlanta, GA; grandchildren: Ashley Amaya, Meredith (Jonathan) Amaya-Hodges, Whisper Amaya, Pilar Amaya, and Tanya Amaya; 3 great grandchildren; many nieces, nephews and cousins.

A Memorial Mass will be 11:00 am, Thursday, July 1, 2021 at St. Peter Catholic Church, 100 Peter Drive, Douglas, MI 49406. Father Fabio Garzon will be the main celebrant. Burial will be in Pilgrim Home Cemetery.
